Day 1
Haridwar to Barkot (210kms/ 7-9hr)
The journey from Haridwar to Barkot is the first leg of the Chardham Yatra a route to Yamunotri, the first of the four holy shrines.
The journey usually begins early morning from Haridwar after a quick breakfast.
The journey takes you through the beautiful hill station of Mussoorie. Depending on the package, you may take a short break at Kempty Falls, a popular tourist attraction. Here, you can stretch your legs, have tea, and enjoy the views of the cascading waterfall.
After the drive, you’ll reach Barkot, a peaceful town in the Garhwal Himalayas. Barkot is known for its scenic beauty and calm atmosphere, making it a great place to rest before heading to Yamunotri.

Day 2
Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot
Early morning after breakfast , drive to Jankichatti.
Barkot to Janki Chatti (Drive):
- Distance: About 45 km
- Time: Approximately 2 hours by road
- Route: Barkot → Sayanachatti → Phoolchatti → Janki Chatti
Janki Chatti to Yamunotri (Trek):
- Distance: About 6 km
- Time: Around 4-5 hours (depending on fitness level)
- Route: Janki Chatti → Yamunotri Temple

Day 3
Barkot to Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. The journey from Barkot to Uttarkashi is a scenic drive through the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand.
Barkot to Uttarkashi (Drive)::
- Distance: Approximately 80-85 km
- Time: Around 4-5 hours by road
- Route: Barkot → Dharasu Bend → Gangnani → Uttarkashi
Things to See in Uttarkashi:
- Kashi Vishwanath Temple: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the most prominent temples in Uttarkashi.

Day 4
Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast, drive to Gangotri. The journey from Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back is a key part of the pilgrimage to the Char Dham Yatra.
Uttarkashi to Gangotri (Drive):
- Distance: About 100 km
- Time: Around 4-5 hours by road
- Route: Uttarkashi → Bhatwari → Gangnani → Harsil → Gangotri
Gangotri (Visit):
- Gangotri Temple: Dedicated to Goddess Ganga, this temple marks the origin of the River Ganga
- Bhagirath Shila
- Surya Kund

Day 5
Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
Morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. Guptkashi is a major stop for pilgrims heading to Kedarnath. It is located about 30 km from Sonprayag, the point from where you begin your trek , the base for the Kedarnath trek.
Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (Drive):
- Distance: Approximately 190-200 km
- Time: Around 8-10 hours by road
- Route: Uttarkashi → Tilwara → Agastmuni → Guptkashi
Things to Do in Guptkashi
- Vishwanath Temple: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, similar to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.
- Ardhnareshwar Temple
- Manikarnika Kund
Day 6
Guptkashi to Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Kedarnath is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in India. Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva and a part of the Char Dham Yatra.
Guptkashi to Sonprayag (Drive):
- Distance: About 30 km
- Time: Approximately 1 hour by road
- Route: Guptkashi → Sitapur → Sonprayag
Sonprayag to Gaurikund
- Distance: 5 km
- Time: 20-30 minutes
Gaurikund to Kedarnath (Trek):
- Distance: 16-18 km
- Time: 6-8 hours
- Route: Gaurikund → Jungle Chatti → Bheembali → Lincholi → Kedarnath

Day 7
Guptkashi to Badrinath
The journey from Guptkashi to Badrinath is a scenic and spiritual experience, as both places are important pilgrim spots in the Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand.
Guptkashi to Badrinath (Drive):
- Distance: Approximately 200-220 km
- Time: 8-10 hours by road
- Route: Guptkashi → Rudraprayag → Karnaprayag → Nandaprayag → Joshimath → Badrinath
Badrinath:
- Badrinath Temple: The main attraction is the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one of the four Char Dhams and is located at an altitude of 3,300 meters (10,827 feet).
- Tapt Kund: A hot water spring near the temple where pilgrims take a holy dip before entering the temple.
- Mana Village: Located just a few kilometers from Badrinath, this is the last village on the Indian side of the border with Tibet.
Day 8
Badrinath to Joshimath to Srinagar Garhwal
The journey from Badrinath to Srinagar Garhwal is a scenic route through the Himalayan terrain, offering a spiritual and cultural experience
Badrinath to Joshimath (Drive):
- Distance: Approximately 45 km
- Time: 1.5 to 2 hours by road
Joshimath:
- Adi Shankaracharya Math: One of the four monasteries established by Adi Shankaracharya.
- Narsingh Temple: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu
Joshimath to Srinagar Garhwal (Drive):
- Distance: Approximately 130-140 km
- Time: 5-6 hours by road (depending on road conditions and traffic)
Day 9
Srinagar Garhwal to Haridwar
Morning after breakfast, drive for Haridwar via Davprayag, Rishikesh.
Srinagar Garhwal to Haridwar (Drive):
- Distance: Approximately 130 km
- Time: 4-5 hours by road
- Route: Srinagar (Garhwal) → Devprayag → Byasi → Rishikesh → Haridwar
